Monetical Limited (mo·net·i·cal) is a United Kingdom technology company.

Since starting life as a niche Agile and digital consulting company in 2008 we have become a fully-fledged technology company. Creating a unique consulting self-service designed to enable organisations to gain cost-effective access to the expertise they require. Specifically, to ensure their enterprise agility transformation retains an optimum level of capability in the face of constant change, and supporting initiative programs as they embark on their Generative AI investment journey .

Our Story

Monetical (/mo·net·i·cal/) is a portmanteau:

Monet - One of the great impressionist painters: to understand his work you need to take a holistic view of the picture. You can’t tell it’s a masterpiece by studying the individual brushstrokes - even though that’s how it was created. The same goes for an organisation made-up of many individual projects, functions and departments.

Analytical - A word meaning “scientific examination of facts and information”. It isn’t until you invest the time and energy analysing the make-up and reason for the performance of each function in a scientific and fact-based manner that you can make the necessary incremental improvements.

Our very first consulting assignment in 2008 helped a global telco company answer one specific question:

"What characteristics of their €19B a year software and I.T. activities had a positive or a negative effect on their performance?”

Monetical.360 was originally developed to enable the efficient benchmarking against industry best-practice of their software and I.T. activities across 6 different countries representing an annual I.T. investment in excess of €900M. Working closely with an number of subject matter experts and thought-leaders (see below) we developed a number of digital Agile maturity assessments linked to our first collection of corrective measures, (what we refer today as Open Stories™) enabling the client to optimise their performance and promote Agile best-practices.

Continuing to invest heavily in our Digital Consulting Self-service and expand our library of structured knowledge, digital consulting advice, helps organisations exploit industry-wide best practices and effectively address performance challenges uncovered whilst using our range of Digital Capability Assessments or our Intelligent Retrospective application.
